Y'all this is the holy grail of body washes!
I have been searching and searching for a recipe to make a fluffy, creamy body wash that didn't require chemicals, equipment I didn't have, and more importantly, a chance to blow the house up.
Trust me...I would find a way. But enough about that....
So far, this is my favorite body wash/soap I've made since I started on natural body care journey.
Here's the recipe I found on Pintrest that made me giggle with excitement...until I saw the shortening part.

Shortening?? As in the stuff you bake with?
Um, no.
SO, I altered it a tad.
For my body wash I used:
-Coconut oil
-Apricot oil(You don't have to add this. Any carrier oil will work)
-Castille soap, liquid or bar. Bar you will have to melt down
*Essential oils of choice
I used the same measurements for the coconut oil. I substituted the shortening with the carrier oil but I did not do 2 cups. Although by all means, if you want to try it, I'm sure it's fine. I just used 1 C.
This recipe starts off pretty much the same way as my body butter so feel free to sneak over there and check it out.
Once the oils are all whipped together, this recipe merges with the original again! I slowly poured the soap into the whip with the mixer on. I used liquid soap, by the way, I believe it about 1 cup also.
And Voila! I promise you'll fall in love with this like I did!
Enjoy and let me know what you think!
Have a great day and create things!
